I'll add to this that a recruiter at a career fair comes home tiered, overwhelmed, and with a stack of possibly hundreds of resumes. I went to a career fair and walked away with hundreds of resumes and no idea who was who.

While taking a business card is nice, a follow up thank you email is even better. Furthermore, asking a good questions is good, but making the recruiter laugh or standing out in a particular way is even better. If you have a picture you can attach to the resume do it.

I don't mind you owning a gun, as long as it's registered in a national database and has a thumbprint reader. A gun is a tool of death, even law abiding citizens should not be allowed to own tools of death that are intended for that sole purpose of killing other things. This is not a meat cleaver.

The country was also founded in the time of slavery. Does this mean that abolishing slavery was a mistake? Your argument for preserving the second amendment is the same as the one used for preserving slavery. If an amendment existed 250 years ago does not mean that it should exist now.

Another statistic is that 1 in 100 American citizens are behind bars. Which means that 1 in 100 is not a law abiding citizen. Do you disagree that those who have gone to jail should be barred from owning weapons for life? Or are you more like the NRA and would put weapons in the hands of everyone, be they felons or children?

It’s pretty black and white. Why would a regular citizen need a gun? Self defense? In Israel everyone has guns ad that doesn’t stop the terrorists. The conceal&carry is a flawed argument. You cannot explain less violence by one law.

Furthermore, I respect you having served in the National Guard. I serverd in the Reserves for a brief period. But I do not think I deserve or need a gun. Nothing would have prevented the shootings.

Guns are not the problem, but they are definitely an enabler.

This whole country was founded from early colonial's or minutemen who owned guns and drove the british out of our country with there tails between there legs , these men were regular joe's who owned farms and businesses not national guardsmen . What do you think formed the national guard it was the minutemen which i once was during desert storm . As we have seen terrorist can attack us on our own soil and abroad this gives everyone a sense of uneasiness to say the least, and i would think that most american's would like to know that in the event of an emergency the can arm themselves at a moments notice . I dont forsee the terrorist taking over america anytime soon this is true, but what about the muggers and the people who loot businesses or riot's that have sprung up i.e.. Rodney King these are the times that people would like to know that they can defend themselves . The crime rate has taken a nose dive in area's where people can conceal and carry of which Illinois is not one fo them i know i live here also i think Steven Kazmeriek would have thought twice had he known that someone could have shot him before he even got one shot off . I dont think the rest of the american law abiding citizens should suffer because a University did not heed the warning that they were given which was a few months back that one of the students put a death threat on a bathroom mirror and instead NIU as cheap as they are decided to do nothing and we have seen the outcome of very educated people doing nothing about something it has cost the lives of 6 innocent people, so now how do you say that the second amendment should be abolished it is what has founded this country from the very beginning .

Punish the criminals not the law abiding citizen .

Serializability is not a characteristic of a single transaction, its the requirement in a concurrent multi-transaction system and is achieved through the isolation.
