Merry Christmas!
I find it outreagous that there are fellow Americans out there who will take offence at someone wishing them the wrong holiday greeting. Why should it be Happy Holidays when it’s really Christmas that the vast majority of Americans celebrate? Be proud of the fact that we are predominantly Christian nation which defends the rights of minorities to the detriment of its own traditions.
When the Communist took power in Russia one of the things they did was create a state with the ultimate political correctness by banning religion. Thousands were deported and killed as a result of this PC campaign, the only problem was that it didn’t really work.
Christmas moved several days to be celebrated on December 31st. The Christmas tree became the New Years Tree, Santa became Grandpa Frost, and the elves became hot blonde the Snow maid. Meanwhile everyone still hated the Jews and the occasional pogroms did not decrease in frequency.
Is our obsession with diversity creating a bland and overly PC nation similar to the Soviet Union? I’m afraid at the very left end of liberalism lives Communism…
