Job Search Tip #1: Make Your Resume Descriptive
Here are a couple of thing that you could do to make your search more effective:
Don’t be afraid of making the resume longer. In the responsibilities section, say not only what you did, but how you did it and using what tools(those in the technical summary). Assume that recruiters who are going to see your resume are only reading keywords and do not understand context. Include EVERY tool you have ever used or tested or evaluated by name; if you used Silk say it, if you used Winrunner say it, say where you used Mercury Quality Center, describe how you used it. Describe the test cases, go into excruciating detail. A good recruiter will know how to tailor your resume to their needs, a bad one will be able to find the resume using the keywords in the resume. Win-win.
